I would like to let you know that this is a basic driver and you will have to install it manually on your computer, it doesn’t install automatically or there is no setup file in the zip file. There is a .inf file that you’ll have to install it manually. Hi, I am trying to instal the “HP LaserJet 5L basic driver for Windows 10 (64bit) ” on my ASUS ROG computer with Windows 10 Home acording to the provided guide, but in step 10, after choosing the file I got mesage: Choose equipment (header) Choosen place does not contain driver compatible vith this computer. If this place is containing the driver, make sure that the driver is for system windows with x64 processor.
The printer is conected to the pc wia “USB to IEEE1284 Parallel” conecting cable.
I have just double-checked the installation process and the same driver that I have mentioned in the article and then tried to install it on my Windows 10 computer and it is installed successfully using through the USB port without getting any message.
It seems like there is a problem with the parallel port to USB connector. I would suggest you to connect the USB cable (Parallel to USB cable) to another USB port of your computer and then try it again and let me know after that.
